Milk Makeup Review

Milk Makeup is supposedly a low maintenance makeup for the independent "girl on the go". You're meant to apply with easy to carry sticks and stamps and markers of all sorts and blend with a swipe of your fingertips. While it's meant to be convenient I think it would be hard to make that kind of thing work without lots of practice. Pros: - cute aesthetic lots of people buy milk just to show that they have it, milk markets an attitude more than a brand of good makeup - website is easy to navigate they even have cute little video tutorials on how to use the products in cool and creative looks - free usa shipping and returns and if you spend over $20 you get a free gift - natural vegan ingredients
despite the ingredients being natural and supposedly good for sensitive skin some products still managed to severely irritate my skin
- all products paraben free and cruelty free I bought: - lip color in "dip out" So the first thing I noticed was how pigmented this is. It’s a really lovely plum shade and its very versatile as well. For a more subtle look I like to put on some Vaseline and put some light layers of color over and blend it together with my fingertips. This keeps your lips hydrated and makes it more of a lip tint than lipstick. It goes on very lightweight and feels like there’s nothing on and also dries very quickly. 10/10
- ubame mascara this mascara is really cute! It has an interesting bumpy kind of shape but I don’t think it really adds to the quality of the product beyond its aesthetic. 5.5/10 - blur stick This severely irritated my skin. It felt really heavy despite it being a stick product and it was too oily and clogged my pores 1/10 - tattoo stamp Such a cute idea I love this product! I got mine in the star shape but there’s also a heart and peace sign. I’m hoping they make more shapes and colors down the line because I’d really like something in a nice red or blue or even purple! The stamp smudged more easily than expected but the plus side of that is that it can be easily removed if need be. 8/10 - highlighter This didn’t show up on my skin at all and it clogged my pores. 1/10 - eye vinyl I got mine in the color “light rail” which is an iridescent purple (because all the others were sold out at the time). This is essentially a lip gloss but for your eyelids. It dries very quickly and once dried is not sticky at all. It doesn’t build up in creases or budge throughout the day. Sadly, this color also didn’t show up on my skin. For reference I have medium olive toned skin. 4/10
- eye pigment in "silent disco" This was really really really hard to use. The color is highly pigmented but I ended up just selling it after swatching it. 2/10 All in all: 4.5/10 but honestly I still want to try the matcha products. However this was my first and last attempt at wearing makeup haha Hope this is helpful! Happy Shopping!
